Take a break from colour pop and work the nude trend
This season is surely one with a special place for peppy colours. With ace designers embarking the colour pop trend is all its glory, we have been seeing a rainbow of colours being sported by celebs. As much as we love the trend, there are those days in this blistering heat when being subtle seems more apt. Days when we want to break away from the play of colours and switch to nude tones. And thanks to some of our favourite celebs who have been giving a chic spin to minimalist styles, we find ourselves relishing muted hues like beige, light caramel, blush pink and the like.
The truth is that being subtle could also be extremely stylish if you know how to work the trend like a pro. There are of course many tricks to it - with a little touch of shimmer, a streak of contrasting colour, well-fitted cuts or glossy sheen. Need some style inspiration to nail nude tones? Have a look:
Muted hues but chic dresses
Be it a bodycon dress or a statement gown, there are many gorgeous designs that make muted tones look on spot. Remember Sonam Kapoor in the Vera Wang dual-toned gown that she wore this year at Cannes Film Festival? Not only were there added layers at the hip, but also a vibrant yellow streak at the train that took it to a whole new level.

If you don't need all that drama, you can keep it sleek and simple like Deepika Padukone in Max Mara - a bodycon dress teamed with a sheen jacket and matching stilettos.
For a flirty look, you can pick ruffles and delicate floral details as Kangana Ranaut does in a Neeta Lulla creation.
Love glitter and sparkles? Priyanka Chopra's look from the royal wedding will inspire you. The Dior dress is perfect in every way.
Skin toned tops and skirts
Even for everyday casuals, you can usher in skin toned tops, skirts and trousers to work the minimalist trend
Nude lips
Keep aside those red lipsticks for a change and work with muted hues. A Bollywood star who seems to be in love with nude lips of lately is Kareena Kapoor.
Then there's Alia Bhatt who always likes to keep it subtle.
Nude accessories
Coming to accessories, you can add nude toned heels and bags to your wardrobe and team it with other styles. Take tips from Karisma Kapoor who perfectly teams nude pumps with dress.
